Homer Simpson
Luke Skywalker
James Bond
Optimus Prime
Dracula
Mario
Severus Snape
Yoda
Green Lantern
The Flash
oHe lives an adventurous life, going on missions at least once a week,
oHas a great best friend, a cool sister and an “Awesome” brother in law
oAlso, let’s look at some of the women he has been with:
§Sarah played by the gorgeous Yvonne Strahovski
§Lou played by OC hottie Rachel Bilson
§Jill played by the “Fast and Furious”’s Jordana Brewster
§Most recently Hannah, played by Kristin Kruek who is so damn beautiful it makes head hurt…and that is not a double entendre….or is it?
2.Peter Petrelli- Heroes (Season 1)
oHe’s got the best super hero ability, he absorbs the abilities of those around him…of course that would have to mean that others have supernatural powers
oHe’s a good guy, selfless, rarely looks out for himself and loyal to a fault
oHe is a man of action and understands responsibility and thrives in situations where he has the most on his shoulders
oOnly reason he’s number 2 is that he does not seem to have much of a love life and that is too much like me for fictional character switcheroo
3.Tommy Carcetti- The Wire
oOne of the most inspiring characters I have ever seen on TV
oIt is not often that you see a politician as a man of the people, but Carcetti really is and probably cares too much for his own good
oHe cares about his city and the people in it and his is sick and tired of inaction and corruption and is intent on changing things
oHe has this intense confidence about himself all the while doubting himself in the process
oMoves from City Councilman where he takes on the Police Commissioner to Mayor to Governor in four years and does so in a clean manner
oHonestly, Carcetti is just one of the coolest, most admirable people and the fact that he is a politician lets you know that he is definitely a fictional character
4.Michael Corleone- The Godfather
oDo I even have to explain this one?
oEasily the coolest guy on this countdown
oHad the heads of the other families whacked while his son was being baptized
oSmart guy, who keeps his head and waits out a situation to make sure it is “taken care of” correctly
oRuthless, but loves his family
5.Brian Griffin- Family Guy
oFirst of all, we all know how much I love dogs so Brian has to be on this countdown
oHe is the guy I want to be, but in dog form: Smart, Witty, Liberal and has published a novel…although mine won’t be as bad as “Faster than the Speed of Love”
oSlept with Lauren Conrad and Jillian, both very hot for cartoon characters
oHe is basically the voice of reason in an otherwise crazy house
o…he gets to hang out with Stewie all of the time and getting hammered and going trips with a baby is just the kind of life I want to live
6.Dexter Morgan- Dexter
oI would love to kill the scum of the earth and get away with it, the only reason I don’t is because I know I’ll get caught and I really don’t like jail…it’s scary
oWith me, it’s what you see is what you get and I think it would be a lot of fun to have this whole other side to me that no one knew about
oHe is this righteous crusader for the innocent victims and is still a good husband, a good father, a good brother and a good friend
oBasically, Dexter is the man and that cannot be questioned
7.Peter Bretter- Forgetting Sarah Marshall
oPlain and simple here…Rachel Jansen played by my future wife, Mila Kunis after I have gone all Dexter on McCaulay Culkin
oI would love to be nude in front of Mila Kunis
oAlso he is a great piano player and that is something I wave always wanted to learn how to play
oSuccessful playwright with his Dracula Musical and I would get to spend a few days in the Kapua suite in Hawaii
8.Gob Bluth- Arrested Development
oBadass magician who rocks out to The Final Countdown during every performance
oHas this overwhelming sense of entitlement, yet has done nothing to deserve it…my kind of guy
oHas that awesome scratchy voice and has released an album with his dummy Franklin
oHas been president of the Bluth company and is just too stupid to no that he is no good…ah, to be that oblivious to my faults, that’s the real attraction here
9.Dr. Cox- Scrubs
oVery intelligent guy, ultra confident, but at the same time he is, as he puts it, “a self-hating narcissist who drinks”
oTakes no BS and has no time for it or any games that people want to play
oHis one concern is about the well being of the patients and making those who want to be doctors better
oHe may be angry most of the time, but he loves his kids and his ex-wife and loves his job, although the burden of being so great is sometimes too much for him
10.Michael Scott- The Office
oI would love to think that everybody likes me even when people so clearly do not
oHe has a great attitude towards life and rarely does he mistreat people other than Toby…but who are kidding, Toby sucks
oHe has that “so dumb, he’s smart” quality about him and that lack of intelligence leads him to worry a lot less about life and that is something I truly envy
oAll he wants are friendship and love and he gives both of those back unconditionally…he is basically a dog who can talk
11.Buddy the Elf- Elf
oI get wrapped up enough in the Christmas spirit when it comes around, but to be so unbelievably happy and so uninformed about the ills of the world makes me jealous
oHe is so naïve and because of that his innocence leads to good things
oAlso, Jovie is hot (Zooey Deschenal as a blonde..yeah, sign me up)
oPlus I would get to live at the North Pole and hang out with penguins and narwhals and snowmen…that would rock
12.Linus Van Pelt- Peanuts
oHe is what everybody looks to during the holidays for that one moment when he explains what Christmas is all about
oHe is an icon and has been a child for about 70 years, I would love to stay a kid that long… I wouldn’t have to deal with any of the pressures of being an adult
oAlso, it doesn’t seem like there are too many authority figures around and that suits me just fine
13.Eric Foreman- That 70s Show
oFunny, witty, sarcastic guy who has a hot girlfriend that lives 20 feet away and can come over any time…sounds alright to me
oHas a very close group of friends that would do anything for him and vice versa
oLeads an interesting yet ordinary life and just seems like a cool time to live in, but who knows… the 70s were awfully hairy

It acts as a forum for a younger, yet more informed generation and allows our voice to be heard. Not only that, but it provides a much needed place for video journalists and aspiring filmmakers to begin their career. They have great programming like Vanguard, SuperNews!, Max and Jason, The Rotten Tomatoes Show and InfoMania, which to me is the best thing on TV right now.
Others: NBC, ESPN, Comedy Central

1. The Wire: Entire Series
o So good that you don’t even realize that you’re sucked in.
o It relies merely on the story, the writing, the acting, the “realness” and authenticity of it to catch the viewer
o At no time did I feel like I was watching TV, it all seemed and still seems so real… that is how great the acting was
o Never been so satisfied with the way a series has wrapped up
o It is the greatest show that has ever been put on TV and not watching it is a crime.
o You cannot call yourself a true fan of television if you do not appreciate what David Simon and the rest of the Crew accomplished here
o Praising the show this much does not do it justice
2. Heroes: Season 1
o This was creative, comic book TV at its best and it will never be duplicated
o Tim Kring’s vision coupled with a strong 23 episode single story arc should be the standard by which other shows are mesured
o Emotionally invested in the show
o Taken in by every character and every story
o Well written, well casted, well acted
o Never been so excited to watch a finale
o Entire Monday was spent thinking about the show
3. 24: Season 1
o Never been so glued to the screen and on the edge of my seat
o Great action, no BS and a swift, smooth storyline
o Dennis Hopper as the bad guy and a huge twist at the end…perfection
4. The Simpsons: Season 8
o You Only Move Twice (Hank Scorpio)
o The Homer They Fall (Homer as a boxer)
o Bart after Dark (Burlesque House)
o Hurricane Neddy
o El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer- Chili Freakout
o The Springfield Files
o Sherry Bobbins episode
o Homer’s Phobia
o Homer vs. the 18th Amendment (Prohibition)
o The Canine Mutiny (Laddie)
o In Marge We Trust (Listen Lady and Mr. Sparkle)
o Homer’s Enemy (Frank Grimes)
5. Lost: Season 1
o Grabbed me from the first episode with a great twist on an old plot
o Good writing, great mystery surrounding it
o As frustrating as it was with every episode ending with a cliffhanger, it was done in a way as to not turn off the viewer
o Remember watching LOST and just being completely taken in by it as the episodes went on
o When it was on, nothing else mattered
6. Dexter: Season 4
o Enough cannot be said about how great this season was
o Thought season 1 could not be topped, then thought season 2 couldn’t, then knew there was no way for Dexter to top season 3, and then comes the trinity Killer
o The acting and the writing and the direction came together like a perfect storm and 12 of the finest episodes were created from that
o John Lithgow was so believable as this creepy, under control, but completely unhinged serial killer
o A season finale that left my jaw on the ground for at least five minutes afterwards… I was speechless
7. The Office: Season 2
o There is no arguing that this is the best season, Dundies, “That’s What She Said” really takes hold in the sexual harassment episode, plus you’ve got The Fire, The Fight between Michael and Dwight, Christmas party with Yankee Swap, Booze Cruise, Michael burning his foot in his George Foreman grill, Dwight’s Speech, Drug testing, Conflict Resolution (cage matches?) and of course Casino Night
8. Brotherhood: Season 3
o Great example of a show that does not seem like a TV show
o Writing and acting was so gritty and raw
o Different aspects of gangsters were seen and Jason Issacs as Michael Caffee in this season is easily one of the best performances I have seen
o There were scenes that literally made my stomach turn, just so tough to watch…absolutely brutal. It was the kind of stuff that would affect the rest of my day
o Great series ending as well
9. The X Files: Season 5
o This was the season right before the movie came and all of the conspiracy stuff was front and center
o Duchovny and Anderson could have been casted any better as Mulder and Scully
o Cigarette Smoking Man, Fake Deaths, The Lone Gunmen, Ham from the Sandlot as a vampire pizza delivery boy, Stephen King writes and Directs an episode…this season has it all
o The X Files are burned to the ground by CSM in the finale
10. The Simpsons: Season 6
o Simpsons get a pool, Homer’s sugar pile, Itchy and Scratchy Land (Top 3 episode ever), TreeHouse of Horror with The Shinning, Homer being accused of sexual harassment, the Love Tonic, Stonecutters, Bart’s Comet, Homie the Clown, Bart’s prank call to Australia, Springfield Film Festival, Two Dozen and One Greyhounds, the Teacher’s strike, Lemon of Troy and the first part of Who Shot Mr. Burns. Enough said…hopefully
11. Family Guy: Season 4
o Definitely when Family Guy hit it’s peak, it stayed there for a while with season five, but has fallen pretty quick since
o Great episodes like Petarded, Brian the Bachelor, Peter’s Got Woods, Perfect Castaway, PTV (The Freakin’ FCC), The Fat Guy Strangler, Brian Sings and Swings, Deep Throats, Petergeist, Untitled Griffin Family History and the Untold Story of Stewie Griffin broken up into episodes.
12. Scrubs: Season 3
o This season has the three best episodes this show has ever produced: The two with Michael J. Fox as the Super Doc with OCD ( You can’t spell DOC without O-C- D) and where Brendan Frasier’s character dies.
o Smart show that didn’t rely on a laugh track to tell it’s audience when something was funny
o Well before JD and the other characters just became over inflated caricatures of their characters
13. Sports Night: Season 2
o It’s Sports Night, what else needs to be said.
o Easily number one on a top 13 of shows that were cancelled to soon
o Great writing made even better by a great cast
o Dan Rydell and Casey McCall made that show
o I know it has been a long time, but bring that show back.

From their awe inspiring analysis of current events in the entertainment industry to their groundbreaking discoveries of what is the best and what is the worst, the TBS guys provide nonstop hilarity with their awkward pauses, random bouts of the giggles and inappropriate comments, most coming from the mouth of one sick individual... (it's Tim, he is really a bad influence on Brendan)
